Mrs. Elizabeth Ball-Iglesias earned a Bachelor in Arts degree in Bilingual Education from the University of Houston Downtown and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Sam Houston University. She began her career in education in Aldine ISD in 2000 and joined the Stephens Elementary team in 2015.
Ms. Iglesias enjoys running, yoga, bicycling, and cooking. She is interested in oral language development and literacy. Some of her favorite books include The No Complaining Rule by Jon Gordon, Education English Learners by James Crawford, How to Give Effective Feedback to Your Students by Susan M. Brookhart.

Mrs. Frances Ozan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston. She began her career in education in 1996 and joined Stephens Elementary in 2015. Mrs. Ozan has experience with Pre-K, Kindergarten, first, and third grades in Aldine ISD.
Mrs. Ozan loves spending quality time with her family and friends. She is most curious about the Hawaiian culture and enjoys reading, swimming, and most of all teaching and trying to make a difference in the lives of her students. Her favorite books are the King James Bible and The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale.

Mrs. Soraida Melim Pena earned her CPA and her Master in Finance from the University of Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela. She also attended Culinarie Arts Intituto Culiniario in Caracas, Venezuela before obtaining her Teaching Certification from Lone Star College. She began her career in education in 2012 and joined the Stephens Elementary team in 2015.
Mrs. Peña enjoys yoga, kayaking, and reading. She is interested in anything that increases her knowledge and vision in life to make her a better person. Her favorite book is Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Janeth Rebolloso earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and with a Bilingual Certification. This is Ms. Rebolloso’s first year at Stephens and her first year teaching.
Ms. Rebolloso enjoys listening and learning about music and different instruments,and marching bands. She is interested in learning new things, being creative, and about learner’s development. Her favorite books include the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling and Eric Carle books.
Ms. Catherine Rodriguez earned a Bachelor Degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston. She began her career in education as a student teacher at Stephens Elementary in 2013 before obtaining a position as a Bilingual Kindergarten Teacher the following year.
Ms. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and trying new things. She is curious about the futures of her daughter and her students, her dog, God, and the world. Some of her favorite books are That Is Not a Good Idea by Mo Williams and The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown.
Mrs. Erica Baginski earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from Southwestern University. She is currently attending St. Thomas University where she will eventually earn her Master’s Degree. Mrs. Baginski began her career in education in 2005 where she has experience teaching kindergarten, second, and third grade bilingual classes. She joined the Stephens Elementary team in 2014.
Mrs. Baginski is enjoys writing, dancing, eating out, yoga, and learning new things. She also enjoys visiting museums, and spending time with family and friends. She is interested in ancient cultures and civilizations, and nutrition. She is curious about the universe, God, and things that make life beautiful.
Mrs. Baginski’s favorite books include Foucalt's Pendulum by Umberto Eco, Narcissus and Goldmund by Herman Hesse, The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, and By The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Paulo Coelho.
Ms. Brenda Barcenas was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She grew up in the Aldine community and attended Stephens Elementary. She graduated from MacArthur High School. Ms. Barcenas earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston in 2015. This is Ms. Barcenas first year at Stephens and her first year teaching.
Ms. Barcenas enjoys spending time with her son, reading, painting and creating arts/crafts. She is curious about her students’ learning and future. Her favorite books include Shiloh by Phyllis Naylor and Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo.
