Hannah Horstmeyer - Email.png


Ms. Horstmeyer is from Fort Wayne, IN and she earned a Bachelor  in Elementary Education degree from Ball State University. She began her career  in education in 2015 here at Stephens Elementary. 


She has practicum experience in fifth grade and she student taught in second grade. While at Ball State University, she was a BOLD scholar, attended the Honors College, and received a math concentration.

In her free time, she enjoys swimming, dancing, and scrapbooking. She also enjoys country music and volunteering. Ms. Horstmeyer is curious about people. She is intrigued by interesting personalities and wonders what causes us to be who we are. She is also curious about other places and enjoys traveling when she has the opportunity. Some of her favorite books include: I'm So Glad You Found Me In Here by Matthew Hobson, A Little Princess by Francis Hodgson Burnett and Wonder by R.J. Palacio.

Jacqueline Aguilar - 


Ms. Aguilar earned a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning from the University of Houston. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University.  Ms. Aguilar is entering her third year as a bilingual teacher. Ms. Aguilar has taught first grade, third grade, fourth grade, and is now teaching second grade all at Stephens Elementary.


Ms. Aguilar enjoys finding new books to read especially, children's literature that she can share with her students. She enjoys finding new projects on Pinterest, photography and spending time with her family.


Ms. Aguilar is curious about different cultures and the universe. Some of her favorite books include are The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, Because of Winn Dixie by Kate Dicamillo, The Tale of Despereaux by Kate Dicamillo, and Esperanza Rising by Pam Muñoz Ryan. 

Karen Barahona - 


Mrs. Castrejon earned a degree in EC-6th Bilingual Education as well as a Minor in Spanish from the University of Houston. She is currently working on her Masters from Lamar University in Educational Technology and Leadership.  Mrs. Castrejon is entering her 4th year at Stephens. She has experience teaching Kinder and 2nd grade

Mrs. Castrejon enjoys watching movies, running, bike riding, cooking, shopping, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.  She is curious about the growth that her students will show during this school year.  Some of her favorite books are The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, If I Stay by Gayle Forman, and Five Languages of Love by Gary D. Chapman. 


Lianne Bahnfleth - Email.png


Mrs. Bahnfleth is from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and she earned  Bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. She started working in education in 2006 and joined Stephens in 2014. She has taught in alternative schools and classrooms working with students with autism from 2006- 2012 in Northern Suburbs of Chicago. She moved to Houston in 2012 where she taught preschool (ages 3 & 4) at a charter school in Southwest Houston. While at this charter school, she earned teacher of the year for 2013-2014 school year. This is her second year at Stephens teaching 2nd grade math and science.

She is curious about history, learning about other cultures and traveling. Some of her hobbies are cooking, baking, reading, and being outdoors.  Her favorites books are The Giver, Cat in the Hat, Clifford and anything written by Robert Munsch. She loves to read Kathy Reichs books in her free time as well. 

Alexandra Turpin - 


Ms. Alexandra Turpin earned a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Houston.  This is Ms. Turpin’s first year teaching and her first year with Stephens Elementary.

She enjoys reading a variety of genres. She also enjoys baking and making crafts. Ms.Turpin is curious about education around the world and travel.  Some of her favorite books are Little Critter books by Mercer Mayer, My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, and Amelia Bedelia books by Peggy Parish.


Jacqueline Moreno - Email.png


Ms. Jacqueline Moreno earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in History from the University of Houston.  She began her career in education at Stephens Elementary in 2016 as a second grade bilingual math and science teacher.

Ms. Moreno enjoys to crochet, sew, and do anything crafty.  She is curious about space exploration and anything that has to do with science.  Her favorite book is The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and true crime novels.

Amena Sethi - 


Mrs Sethi is from Lahore, Pakistan.  She has been living at The Woodlands, TX for the past decade. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Punjab with major in Child Development and Psychology. She earned her Master’s degree In Art with minor in Art Education from The University of Punjab. 

Mrs Sethi has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade in Pakistan. She has worked as a Pre-K teacher at a private school. This is her 4th year in Education and 1st year at Stephens Elementary teaching Math and Science.

Mrs Sethi likes to read, travel, cook/eat, watch movies and spend time with her family.  Mrs Sethi is curious about different cultures, places and people.  Some of her Favorite books are the Harry Potter series, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and A Song of Ice and Fire by GRR Martin. 

Ana Gomez - Email.png

agomezMs. Gómez is starting her first year at Stephens. She was born in Durango, México.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in EC-6 Bilingual Education from University of Houston- Downtown. She began working in education in 2013 as a paraprofessional at Keeble Pre-K Center. She has experience teaching 2nd grade.

Ms. Gómez enjoys watching movies, reading and watching documentaries. She is curious about nature, history and other cultures.  Her favorite books are
Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine and Esperanza Rising by Pam Muñoz Ryan.
